Marley eating a snail! (another video!)

Postby Omega » Sat Jun 02, 2007 7:37 pm

I know the quality leaves a little to be desired, but unfortunately my camcorder can't hook to a computer, so I just used to camera phone to capture a 15 second(all I can do at a time) clip of Marley's feast today. He ate at least 20 snails this evening from what the lady let me collect at petsmart..

I dunno if you can hear any crunching or not, the speakers on this computer can't get loud at all. I have to turn the tv down to understand speech in most online videos, lol. Sorry it's short and not that clear, but I thought I would show you all anyway!

His belly is pretty milky white, so he should shed in a week or so, but his belly feels huge after eating all those snails, haha.

**UPDATE**
I know it's not that exciting, but here he is eating a snail out of my hand. Picked up another hundred or 150 from petsmart, so I shouldn't run out for a long time!

I just love him. I can hear the crunching too. It looks like he's enjoying that!

Thanks for sharing it!

no problem Shelly! glad my phone's mic isn't too horrible, i set him on the counter on a towel with 3 snails while i went to fish more from the tank, and could hear it from across the living room... so i was hoping it would get on there. Wish my phone didn't have a 15 second limit though... ah well.

haha, some of them take a while for him to eat, like he has to chew on it forever before it cracks, could that be painful, or would he give up if it was?

I think if I hand fed a live food to some of my guys, I'd be minus a couple fingers!

Marley's given up on a couple of the bigger ramshorns, usually the very middle is pretty sturdy and he won't be able to pop it, but usually it's just chew chew crunch.
