THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT!

It was a project long in the making.

Luke: Whew - I dunno I do have quite a few blotched but I'm going to seriously work with them this year to see if I can get them to produce. I do have a lot of ideas but if you have any shoot me a pm. I can use your experience. Believe me I'm not confident I can produce them - SURE i know a lot of written things about blotched - yes I own 5 or 6 I forget. Sure I look at them everyday. Still it doesn't mean I have any long term experience with them or extensive experience just because I have a handful. Nothing beats years of experience and observation - testing - all of which I only have theories.

This year the males were not the greatest breeders and I made huge notes on what I did and what I did (apparently all WRONG). We'll just see how it goes now that I have everything back to normal.

Thanks again for all the words of encouragement.

Best regards,

Andrew

Hi Marie!

Yeah the color is truly different.

The size of these skinks are way different than the silvers but they are amazing.

It's been hard keeping my secrets.

Oh and I have a few other (secrets) that I've been holding for a few years now too but I swore that I wouldn't reveal anything until something great happens. I guess it's just the Japanese in me saying DO instead of TALK.

LOL.

Oh and next year I hope to try the Centrals - I have my ideas with breeding them too. They didnt breed this year at all - they must be around 2 years old by now right? I forget.

So next year I'll try. Rosa (gf) swears that I have a pair.

I'm in STRAIGHT UP DENIAL and think I have probably TWO FEMALES. Sure my mind says YES I have a pair. I seem to see some signs of actual dimorphism. BUT NO CAN'T BE.

Rosa: You have a pair!
Me: NO I see TWO FEMALES.
Rosa: Look at the length of the body compared to the other one. She is a definite she!
Me: Oh heck no I think I have TWO MALES.
Rosa: The head is much smaller and the body much longer on that one and look how the other one is tapered.
Me: No, I see two females.

This goes on for the next hour.

Should I post them on the BTS.NET so you guys can have a vote? LOL.

No Andrew, send them to meeeee! I swear, if I find an extra skink or 3 in my shipment I wont tell *hides all evidence*.

Great news on my front! I'll be getting 2 baby skinks from Andrew! I'm ordering both a Silver and Gold (yellow) Tanimbar baby! Unfortunatly I wont be able to ship them till August, but I'll be eagerly awaiting my babies! The tank is in the finishing stages, and I'll be ready for my skinks as soon as I get back. The collection has begun.
