3 things...

Postby mom22wins » Sun Jul 15, 2007 9:42 pm

Okay, name three things you wish you knew then (when you first got your bluey) that you know now. These should be things you wish someone would've told you, for instance.

Can't wait to hear your responses! :shurg:

These are good threads!

In no order...

1) How to determine gender. When we had Slurpy we eventually wanted to breed, but had no idea what his gender was or how to find it.

2) A good diet. The caresheets I read all said different things, and nothing was in detail. Neither were the bluey snipits in books.

3) Maybe 3 would be how to breed. I learned from reading a few websites, and eventually finding some people who actually knew what they were talking about (I.E, James Wilson!!).

These are all reasons that contributed to why this site was made.

Some things I'd like to know (desperately) is who Slurpy's parents were. I'd do anything to see them. That's one of the reasons I stress so much that buyers will get to know who their skink's parents are.

wish I'd known then

Postby aggiegirl » Mon Jul 16, 2007 7:47 pm

Things I wish I'd known then...
1) how to medicate a bluey-This totally freaked me out  as a new owner. The exotic vet was good but he didn't demonstrate and suggested I use a spatula to hold his mouth open. I figured out if I put something he liked in front of him (banana, snail) that his tongue would go to town. Then, I could drop the liquid onto his nose and he'd lap the stuff up. By the second round of meds, we were fine.
2) that Petco carries Spot's Stew  -I'd called every high dollar, health food store in town before I saw this on a recent thread.
3) what great pets these guys really are-I would have had these guys much earlier in my life!!! :ohyes:

1.) Where to get a Western in the USA for $150

2.) They actually CAN'T jump through hoops...?

3.) How to stop wanting more.

And since the question was things you WISH you knew then that you DO know now, would you mind sharing where these Westerns are for $150?

:nanny:

What I know now is, if I'm not rich, I'm probably not going to get a Western.
