Hey Zach (and everyone else with advice on this):

I read that you were on a schedule with one of your BTS so that he usually goes out and does his business outside rather than in his tank. When do you usually feed him and how soon after does he do his business?

I also remember reading that they most likely will empty their bladder and possibly deficate when they are taken out of their tank and get more active. How can I keep that from happening but at the same time get her to NOT go in her tank as often? I get an image of myself running for the back door with skink in hand praying she won't poop on me before I get outside! lol  (I would never run with her.)

First of all, you can get them on a schedule so that they will go outside with regularity. However, this is easier to do with ADULT blueys rather than babies. I haven't had a baby bluey yet (as Pele' was 6 mths when I got him) but babies go with greater frequency and less regularity/predictability---humans and blueys alike! Let me know, however, if you are successful---as cage cleaning is much easier and fewer lap "accidents" would ensue! When are you getting your tyke?

Hey Aggiegirl! I don't know when I'll be getting my baby. I sent my payment but I'm waiting for the last little ones to complete their shed so I can pick one. I hope soon!

Mine tends to eat then sleep while I'm at work, then charge about a bit when I approach his tank in the evening and hey presto, a stinky skinky poo pellet is dropped by the basking rock after about 5/10 laps of the tank

Given they do it once a day, if you see any evidence (or smell any) that indicates the business is done, maybe the worst that could happen is a hearty pee on your lap.

I've had Rollie poo on my while out once I think. In Jenn's sleeping bag she so kindly made him too... Must have been too foo-foo for him...

He'll go every time when outside.

Could you imagine California beaches if that was the case with humans? :dead:

Wow, I just learned who Russel Peters is. I was waiting for Comedy Central to finally get a middle-eastern or Indian icon to keep their regurgitated comedy about racial stereotypes going, and it seems despite my ignorance, I was granted my wish.

That guy's a tool.

What's REALLY funny is me trying to understand the blatantly bad typing and spelling that happens upon this forum at times!

Back to the subject at hand, I have a serious theory on "lap heat," and bluey bathroom time.

Lap heat and grass smell, I'm definately adding to the theory now...
