Can skinks have stick insects?

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I was wondering if BTS could have Indian stick insects.
They're home bred for 2 years now, so I'd say they're pretty healthy.
It's just that my stick insects are hellbound on reproducing faster then mice and are overrunning my tank atm.

are they hard to breed and keep?

A friend of mine says these are overrunning her house. What do you feed them? How do you care for them? It would be fun to have feeders that I actually enjoyed handling!
So, have you tried feeding them? Take pictures!

megaabel - they're easy to keep & very easy to breed. they feed on bramble/privet/oak/rose leaves (although they seem to be keen on my azalea too! grr).

aggiegirl - I haven't fed them to her yet as they are afterall my pets.. I just asked in case I can't sell them on. I don't have space for a bigger tank, so I though if needs must I can give them to Lilly as a treat.

Yes, azalea and oleander are two that I know to be poisonous, also umbrella plants.

Blueys will eat most bugs and grubs that they can catch, so the slow moving and ground dwelling ones are more favoured. Snails, beetles, lawn grubs, slaters, centipedes etc. I don't imagine blueys would often come across stick insects in the wild since they tend to live in plants off the ground ... but that's not to say if you offer one to them that they wouldn't eat it Mine prefer chunky, meaty, squishy grubs like beetles and centipedes and snails. I don't imagine stick insects would constitute much of a meal. And besides, they're too cute to feed!

Well they feed on bramble atm and haven't been found on my azalea for weeks now

I know they are too cute to feed, but I have over 30 of 'm and my tank is crowded and peeving off my Spectre Insect.

No one will take them and I can't release them, so food it is sadly.

PS: If I don't feed them to Lilly then they'll eat eachother as they do when too crowded, so it's a lose/lose situation for them really.
