hi, i have been looking around for a BTS (my first ever) and found one in a reptile shop for $125.00. is this a good deal? here is some information. the shop keeper is the owner, this particular skink is 2 years old, and had belonged to his buddy that passed away. it is in good condition but was housed with others at some point so it has a few small scars and some missing toes (one foot actually only has one toe). it appears healthy, is mite free(as far as i can tell), and its scales are all in good condition. all old wounds are completely healed. it is kept in good conditions at the shop, is active (considering), and really nice. its diet is good, consisting of lots of fresh fruit and veggies (its bowl was piled high) and the guy told me he had just eaten some chicken hearts. this shop seems like a decent place, and the keeper even quizzed me on skink husbandry and such.
but here is the question, is $125 dollars a good price for this animal? there were only 2 skinks in the store, this one and a baby, the baby was higher in price. i haven't seen any others around, so i just wanted to double check.
Good buy?
