www.aquabid.com is a great place to get lots of Apple Snails online for reasonable prices and www.applesnail.net is a bank of information (Apples and Mystery snails are common names used interchangeably, btw)

I would try to catch them but I have never seen any.I don't have a garden to look in.
Do they hide under rocks or anything like that?
Thanks

Is there anywhere you can put some pot plants, they'll eat what you dont want them to.

Could you collect them from friends or relatives homes, if so just keep them in a container/bucket,covered but with a little air and a little water to clean themselves of any toxins and the like, add alittle bit of greens for food. If they're still alive after 3 to 4 days they'd be fine to offer
