Thanks Zach... I have been so busy with work, petsitting, and my critters I don't get to post much... I try to at least poke my head in and see if there is anything big happening in here.

I have 80+ widow slings and 2 more unhatched sacs, plus my tarantulas, trap door (who is a mature male now and will be pimped out on Wednesday), and other true spiders. It's so hard to keep track! Plus, I hopefully have some versicolor sacs on the way

Have you gotten any new additions?

They are in the same family...
I don't know which is worse. From what I read they are very closely related.
But Brown Widows are said to be more venomous then the common Blacks that are found around in my area.

Talking eybands

Here is a photo of my bluey called "Bluey" funny enough - hope this works. Not quite as nice as Jubby but you get the idea. :-)

Oh well it is in my album if it doesn't work.

spiders

Postby aggiegirl » Fri Dec 14, 2007 7:46 pm

Dragontears, I think I'll wait to get a spider til the kids are out of the house. I found one of my dubia roaches outside of the tank the other day. I knew he was one of my feeders but I doubt my hubby would have known---thank goodness. Seems my kids were playing with the roaches again. Don't know what I'd do if they were playing with a spider but I can see some very unfavorable possibilities.... By the way, anyone want any roaches????
Gorgeous Eastern. Darned Australian export bans.... :x

Jubby has turned out well Lisa!
I gather that Jubby is a male. Is this right? How sure are you?

Scott, is that scincoides in your pic a Victorian specimen? What locality?

He was a rescue from a kid at Yea, north of Melb, complete with mites which I'm treating for.

I suspect he was a backyard catch.

I'm contemplating releasing him back to the area once I get some legit blotchies again. He's pretty typical of central Vic forms our real local ones are a bit greener (see my avatar) a bit better photo on my album.

Regards

Scott
