If it's soft and somewhat squishy - more than likely you have a Male, if it's somewhat stiff and hard - a girl. You have to be gentle though. I'm spot on with all my blueys, just gave the last unknown Blotchie a check the other day and I'm pretty sure it's a boy, which suckz cuz i need a blotchie Female! anyway, Mouth looks good, Tank is fine, Put the wood back in though, and get a slightly smaller water dish. just my opinion.

Good luck!

I felt it and it is a bit squishy. Could it also be fat though?

fat is generally harder - not so Squishy. Even if you compare the "squishyness with 3cm down the tail, if it feels the same, then I'm not sure, but if it's a noticable difference, then chances are you have a boy.

I might add, This is MY way of sexing and I've been right with all my guys. Someone will surely argue that this is not an effective way of sexing blueys, but it's safe. You can clearly feel the difference between a male and a female.
