alright so i picked up the fully grown skink that was caged with two others... the people at the store told me that it was biting everyone. pssssh. someone doesnt know how to handle these guys!

but one thing i wonder about, is the huffing. sometimes i'll pick up mr pants (i got the name from a tv show!!! haha) and s/he'll huff...
and one time i stroked her/his head and there was a huff. does this just mean "EFF OFF!"?

mind you she (ill go with she) still has a little bit of shed on her head..

also as a nice welcome home gift i let her poop on my bed..
i heard a skink fart! marvelous...
all in all, mr pants is much more relaxed.. and i know.. now the petshop will get in some other poor animal to be mistreated but...
cheers!

The huff is their way of telling you they have been disturbed or startled. It's good to talk to them before you touch them so they know you are there.

Not sure about the picture upload question. I just use the upload picture prompt to post. :D

Congratulations on your new family member! So glad you weren't put off by the store's comments about her "biting everyone". With regular handling that shouldn't have happened. So what does that tell you...

Anyway, to post pic's click on "upload picture"above to the right when you're in the post/reply screen. Browse your computer for the pic. and upload. Be sure to size it down first.

Can't wait to see pic's of the new baby!

Congrats. My guys all tend to huff. It's not a hiss, so don't get overly worried. I see it as pretty much just a sigh at being bothered.
