My Kimberleys

Postby Blue-tongued Jesus » Thu Jan 03, 2008 2:17 am

Hi guys,
seems like Kimberley Blueys are a hot topic right now so i thought i'd show off my adults:
This one i've had for about 3 years now and was the first Kimberley in my collection. Sex unknown:

This is the male from my bonafide breeding pair:

Here's the female of the pair. I took photos of them mating i just gotta dig em up. She's slowly getting bigger aroung the belly:

and lastly here's my Hypomelanistic Kimberley, not sure of the sex, the definate male didn't seem interested, yet didn't tear it to pieces either. This lizard came 3rd in the Bluey section of the 2007 Sydney reptile and amphibian show at Castle Hill:

Hope you enjoy them.

The first guy actually has freckling over its head and body as well as that unusual blotching. Here's some other shots of that lizard in particular:

Terrific! We've been so lucky with these Kimberley shots lately...

Thanks so much for sharing them... :)

If we can add them to the Kimberley page, or have any information specifically about them we'd be most grateful.

Ooh, nice! That first one is very different with the splotches. Freckles are just so cute ^.^ That last one, the hypo, is very nice. Did it win any good prizes?

Zach, the avatar had me confused for a moment too. I kept trying to figure out where the BTS tongue was coming from. It's a bird facing right with a blue neck and a crown on the head. I can't seem to remember what it's called, but I think the Irwin Zoo has some of those.

Thankyou btj, post as many head shots of these animals as you like mate.

The bird in the btjs avatar is a cassowary..like an emu in build a bit.

Awesome colours, lives in tropical queensland and png..

If you threaten it it can open you up like a fish at the market with its dagger like toes.

I got some pics of the ones at currumbin park and australia zoo,

Holy crud, I see it now.....I wonder if a typical person could make that out immediately and we couldn't since we were only looking at it looking for a lizard.

It took me 4 looks to see it was the birds neck, not a blue tongue.
