Pics from my trip to Kununurra WA

Postby Lacerta » Tue Jan 15, 2008 1:28 am

Here are some pictures of one of the Kimberley Northerns living in my mums garden - there are two big ones and a few baby ones.

It was happy to come right up to us to eat, as long as we didnt make any fast movements.

Thanks everyone, I was stoked to see them in the wild.

Mum puts out a dish of catfood (the single meal sized for cats) with banana, mango ect and it usually wont be there at the end of the day.

There are two large BTS, that is the smaller one - I think the other one may be pregnant, or just eats way too much! There are also two baby BTS I saw, mum seems to think there is another one too.

She also gets tata lizards and the odd goanna living in her backyard.

Haha I know, I couldn’t believe the tata Lizards when I first saw it – it seems to be the younger ones which wave though.

Yeah the BTS is eating some bits of banana, it was about 1.5 metres away from me when I was taking the photos. I have a few more of the same BTS I’ll put up tonight if I get around to it.
