I gave lilly an assortment of fruit which consisted of blueberries, papaya, and banana, thinking he would hit the banana first but to my amazement he ate all the blueberries first then some papaya and left the banana. I think she has her favorite.

ok to add to the subject. how come my blue always goes to the bathroom in his food dish when theres banana in there? its only with bananas. is it normal???

:shurg: She's crazy, that's why. I have no idea, I know some lizards like to poop in their food and/or water dishes (mine don't, thankfully).

Hey Brigget, Chuff loves blueberies too, I just discovered this two nights ago! He even went for Blueberries instead of chicken!
And he poops on his dish whenever its in his cage, because he knows its taken out, thus easier to clean than if he shat in his bedding somewhere.
He's a very tidy Bluey. I love him, he makes it easy for me! :D
So maybe your Blue is making it easier for you too?

Maybe the pooping in the food dish when bananas are present is some sort of statement. Or Mommy puts poo in the dish so I will too? :lol: I think it's a message for sure. :wink:

well blue has always been picky the only thing i could get him to eat lately is cat food. I have tried everything and it took him 30 minutes for the food to be in there before he went on it. I dont think he likes bananas. now lilly will eat anything.

Is it cold where you are right now? Chuff is very sporadic with his feeding lately. He wakes up ravenous when it warms up a bit, but he will for almost weeks without eating while he's snoozing.
Maybe cut back on how often you are offering food to Blue, as long as his weight is good, he should be fine.

its cold outside but my house stays at 70 he also has an undertank heater. he gets active trying to escape lately especially at night it drives my cat crazy but I try to feed every other day I guess thats too often.

Our house is pretty stable with the temps as well, but Chuffers seems to key on the actual outdoors temps somehow. Must be subtle changes in humidity and light.
