Rocky Mountain Reptile Expo

Postby Riven » Thu Jan 24, 2008 3:17 pm

I don't know if anyone else is near Denver, Co but, we have an upcoming Reptile expo on Saturday Jan. 26.

Here's the site: http://www.rockymountainreptileexpo.com/

I have to work on Saturday...I might call in to go to this show.

Hi, Scott!

Just repeating what I said on the other thread: if you see any shinglebacks, whether for sale or just for display, would you please get contact info for the vendor?

Even if they aren't for sale, we'd sure like to know who else is keeping and/or breeding these.

Thanks!

Yeah! "Shingle-Watch 2008!" :)

We need to gather information and contacts to try to grow the small population we have here and see if we can have our resident breeder (Celeste) collaborate with other US breeders to spread the Stumpies! :)

Riven, have you been to this Expo in the past? Any first hand input? I might be willing to go...it's a pretty long drive or a short (though usually expensive) flight for me...I wouldn't mind starting an "expo tour" there, though...

How is the weather in Colorado right now? Is the melt beginning or still frozen hard and a winter wonderland?

Jasjmm27,

This is one of our smaller shows, we have them every 3 or 4 months. The main show normally is in June/July. We are having a mild winter so far but, our big snow months Feb./March are still coming. Mid-May we are normally done with the snow but, we do get late snow storms at times.

The last few shows I have been to they had the normal, geckos, corns, boas. monitors....nothing you can't find at an everyday pet store. Though, I haven't been in a couple of years and have heard it's grown some. I did check the vendor list and doesn't seem anything too excite this time around.

Scott

P.S. I'm from Phoenix
