That is why I am glad I found this site because there is so much information on here, I have bought all the housing heat mat and everything that I will need to make my skinks life as comfortable as possible. When it all gets here I will set it all up and leave it for a week before I go in search of my skink

to the forum. Good luck finding a baby and like Saille said it's great you are doing research in advance. Read the care sheet till your eyes cross and you will be ready.

PsyKoViggy wrote:I believe theres a place called Reptile Ranch in Maybank Road, i can't find any stock lists for them though so i don't know if they have any, but worth asking about. Also they seem to have a pretty good reputation for their animal care.
Hope that helps
Thank you so much for that the more places I have to try the more chance I have got and getting recommendations especially from people who have BTS is a plus as far as I am concernd

Hello mate, good luck with you search for a Northern, you may be better of trying to find an Irian Jaya, thats what I've got and they do seem more popular in the herp shops, I'd look at herp specific shops ,rather than a bog standard pet shop(Pets at home type thing) I notice you said you had a heat mat, I dont need one as he's in the spare room and unless your place gets below 15C at night,no need for it mate, they like to get below 20C at night, its natural. As mentioned check out the caresheet(most answers to most questions),print the food chart(somethings are not the same names over here)and good luck with the hunt.
MMMmmmmm... Something???????
