Well, i am a sucker for IJ anyways, but man, I LOVE the colors on this guy. If only I had an extra $450

Yeah, saw that last night! Looks like he would make a nice buddy for that other IJ that was being sold for $500...(once upon a time as a Blotchie).
This one looks like another prime candidate for the "scientific naming discussion" that was going on in another thread.
Love the zebra-like striping and contrast!

Hi gang,
Personally I dont see it as being worth 450. If i saw it in real life - I might change my mind but if it comes from Prehistoric pets they really don't know anything about bluetongues. I just made a personal visit to them last summer and had a talk with the owner on several skinks they have on display which were completely mismarked and over-priced.
He sure had this attitude as if I had NO IDEA what skinks were. *shrug*
If you want to take a risk and get it be my guest but I have a feeling you'll see more of these "special" types elsewhere.
I also took pictures of a "hypo-indo" which they have on sale for near 2000 that looks pretty much NORMAL to me.
I'll see if I can dig up the pictures but who knows where they went after my cpu problems.

Hey Andew,
Thanks for your post. I agree that it is over priced just like the odd patterned IJ that Exotic pets had listed a while back. But if the skink truely looks like that, that would be one that I wouldnt mind having in my collection. But like i said, I wouldnt pay that much for it. It would have to be a very special skink before I would pay that much of it. I just thought it was interesting and thought I would share.

I very much agree Marie. They're also using the black background to trick the eye into making the lighter areas more white. I think this is just a light IJ they're trying to get more money off of...

"We have not been able to accurately sex this animal, so we will be selling it as an unsexed adult"
Does this meant they attempted to sex the animal? *shudder* Poor little lizard, hope they haven't done it in a way to damage it...
