Not that I'm planning on ever doing this but I had a question.
What would happen if you lived in Australia, had a few native easterns for pets and then decided to live somewhere else? Would you be allowed to take your skinks with you? Or would be have to leave them?

Rocktet; - Nope - only in Aus, unless you want to take the chance of getting sniffed up by dogs at customs and/or a free prostate exam courtesy of the Aus Federal Police :-)

Shingle: - The seller reckons they had no marks on them when he sent them and was a little indignant when I sent the photo. I think they just stuffled in transit. Should be any problems though. I can take about 3 shots a second so makes it relatively easy. :-)

Take a look at this photo

This is a typical blue mountains Eastern this was the sort of silvery lizard with orange side (portholes) that I was referring to - Jubby like. It is still for sale near Melbourne if you are interested. CHEAP. I have the details if interested - I was going to buy it just couldn't get there.

Time will tell how they end up looking, but as I said my camera (Nikon D70 I need to download more recent firmware) seems to lie a bit maybe different lighting will help.

Was half way through shedding. Actually they look a lot better now, they were a bit of a daggy in the photo after just coming out of the box after being freighted to me about 1500 km. Copped a bite on the nose too. The swelling on the other one has now gone too. Phew - was a little worried. They were a bit dehydrated and hungry but ate as soon as they arrived.
