Questions About Aspen Substrate
I read the site's care sheet and saw that shaved aspen made a good substrate for blue tongues. I went to a farm supply store a bought a large bag of aspen shavings. While the bag says "shavings," not all the pieces are shaped like that. There are also chunks and bits of aspen mixed in. Is this still safe to use? If ingested, is it digestable?

Yeah, I would say that it sounds like you obtained a "choice" bag of Aspen...there are a few people looking for the "chunk" form.
The bigger they are, usually makes it easier for the bluey to spit it out...I would guess...
I don't think there is anything to worry about.
