HELP! My bluey's tongue seems to be losing color!

Postby thunderflash » Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:11 pm

Hi guys really need your help here. My bluey's (Have had him for almost 1.5 years now) blue tongue seems to be losing its blue shade. it started about 2 months ago when i realised the tip of his tongue seems to be turning a little pinkish. and recently the discoloration seems to be spreading, although the majority of his tongue is still blue

is there any need for concern?
any1 experiencing the same problem with their bluey?
or what is the cause of it?

thanks alot in advance!

I wonder how many people out there think they have a blue tongue with unusual colours until the tail gets REALLY long and the tongue colour changes

i doubt your's would be a pink tongue though but wouldn't that be funny.

By the way, is he an Indo? They often have quite the fade to pink; especially as they age. (Begins at early age)

hey guys i think he is an irian jaya

so no cause for concern? initially i thought was his diet. we feed him cat food, bananas, papaya and an assortment of fruits. But its mainly cat food. he gets his daily dosage of sun also.
