I just had to post how cute I think my skinker is.

Sammy just scratched and scratched at the door until I took her out. I would hold her for a few minutes and then need to get something done so I'd put her back in. Usually that's good enough but not today. We did this about 3 times in a row until I finally just let her climb up my shoulder and she nestled under my hair and there she has sat for the last 20 minutes. lol

All she wanted was to burrow under my hair. So funny. Little stinker.

They are so cute and funny are'nt they my baby Ocho got the right sulks today because this morning after changing his water and giving him his food we had to go out so when we got back and I went to see him he hid away and would not even look at me , but I was soon forgiven and he is out now sleeping in the hood of my top. I have a spoiled skink on my hands now. I can't even sit on the computer (next to her enclosure) without her little face peaking out and begging to come out. lol She's so pathetic, I can't resist.

Hey there! Yeah, Sammy cocks her head to the side and looks at me on occasion. I hate to leave her in the enclosure but I'd never get anything done if I took her out everytime she made that face! I just wish I could put her down and trust her to run the house and then come back to me when I call her. Wishful thinking though.

The only change I've really made to her enclosure is that I changed her substrate from carefresh to this Coconut shred. It looks nice but it hasn't helped her dry belly scale problem. I think it's dry in there from a combination of the ceramic heat emitter and the fact that the enclosure is made of wood... Either way, I put a humid hide in there and I've been rubbing the shedding aid on her to soften up her scales. That can't be comfortable for her to be so dry.

I have to let Bandit out and run around the office the lizards and sugar gliders are in because he has rubbed his nose so much against the glass, its all scabbed over. So on the weekends he runs around the office until he gets tired and then usually goes back in his cage by himself. He's a little crazy as he tried to attack my brown slippers again yesterday. Man, he's fast. I had to jump on the stepstool we have in the room in order to reach the sugar gliders just to avoid him.
