what age can you feed them every other day

Postby The Londoner » Thu Feb 28, 2008 6:08 am

The reason I am asking this Ocho is normally a little muchy monster when it comes to his food but the last couple of days he seems not to be interested in it and it's just sitting there going rotten so I am ending up taking it out, so was wondering if I feed him every other day he would enjoy it more but I don't know if he is to young. I feed every day for the first year or until they stop eating everyday. My eastern went to every 2-3 days at about 4 months. My northerns were closer to the year mark.

Do you think he's about to shed? Sometimes bluey's don't eat for a few days when they're about to shed.

I just started feeding Sammy every 3 days when she was wasting food every day. Even then she just eats maybe a quarter of it. She is 8 months old now. I don't think she's trying to brumate since she's out everyday basking and begging to come out with me. I guess she's just getting to that age where she's not eating as much.

I would go to every other day. If you still get the "I don't want that stuff" face go to every third. It seems hard at first but once you get used to it you will enjoy seeing him really eat with gusto when you do offer food. :D
