Hi from Tito Burrito and Maggie Moe Dee!!!!

Hey there guys!!!
Long time no me being here!!! We have 2 weeks before we move to North Carolina and that is no excuse for why it has taken me FOREVER to get online and post some pics and talk about my beautiful babies!!! (Well, Maggie turns 2 this year in July so they aren't babies anymore!!!! :cry:

So Tito and Maggie Moe Dee are doing great, getting ready to relocate back east and south with us and we have this contraption that they will travel in that is pretty funny. It keeps them safe and separated which is ALL I care about!! They will be comfortable too but since it will take 6 days to drive in this huge RV we are renting, I vote for safe and sane!! Anyhoo, it will be the traveling psycho ward as we will have all three dogs, three cats, 2 skinks, 2 snakes, 2 kids, and two borderline sane adults......Hermit crabs and fish are being donated to the Child Developement Center on Base. I would gladley take them if I could JUST leave the darn kids behind!!! :wink:

So anyhoo, we had a DRIVE BY PLUGGING last night in Emily's room. I could not get my camera because it happened SO FAST but Tito had just come out of his post shed funk and eaten his dinner and must have been feeling "randy" because he always ignores Mags when we put them on the floor....Literally one goes one way and one goes the other and we have to keep dragging them back for skinkie snuggle time and pictures because he really wants nothing to do with her, EVER (never really has) Maybe he saw Pamela Anderson where there was once just a dorky little girl but last night, he rushes over to her and stops like 2 inches from her back end and lifts his tail and back legs (he was facing completely the other way, his head to her tail, his tail pointing away from her body, lest you get any graphic skinky thoughts...... I thought the tip of his tail was going to come right over his head and touch his nose, that's how high he had lifted it. Then he just like shudders and out comes twin disgusting sperm plugs...... :dead:

Then he totally flips a one-eighty and runs completely the other way, back into his hidy hole!!! I am just sitting there with my mouth open because I have NEVER seen him move so fast nor have I ever been visually acosted in such a way!! I may never recover....Mags just sat there blinking (she never leaves me) like "WHAT" happened and why is your tongue on the floor? Anyway, I thought it might be a funny visual considering Tito's normal speed is slow and catatonic!!!! Anyway, just wanted to give you all my new info as we will be disconecting everything for a few weeks while we move. As soon as we are up and running I will let you know how Tito and Maggie's cross country trek in the rolling psycho ward went!!!! Here are some recent pictures: :ohyes:

Marilee! So glad to see you posting again! I hope you move goes as smooth as possible. Maggie and Tito are much prettier than i ever remembered! Maggie's color has always impressed and actually made me quite jealous! lol. She is a beauty. I know you said that you will never breed her, but if that ever changes, PLEASE let me know.

Keep us posted as how the move goes. Dont go for so long with out posting pictures of your beautiful BTS!

I love cross-country road trips, though I've never done one with Skinkers! (I did have a Florida Soft Shell turtle that I road tripped with long ago!)

No, sadly that is MBD from when Tito was kept as a breeder skink in horrible conditions!!! When we rescued him his tail was actually worse. With a great diet, lots of sunshine and lots of skinky love, (and a great vet) we have arrested the MBD and it has gotten tons better!!! It looks worse than it is because of the angle he is at......This is what happens when skinks are not kept in the right environment and fed the nutrition that they need as well as plenty of UVB light!!!!
Tito has some mental hang-ups from his breeder days as well but we love on him anyway (he hates it!!!!) but he is 100% better!!! THe main thing is he is very sweet, never would bite or even hiss, just a huff and puff when you wake him up!! :wink:

Maggie Moe Dee was one of Zach's 2006 IJ babies. She has been handled since birth and what a difference. You can literally hold her with one hand and she will just sit there while Tito still flails around like you are going to drop him or something..... Take care and HELLO LISA!!!! I am so glad to see you are still around!!! Hey Brad :heyho:

Sucks about the MBD - One of my easterns has tail kinks amoung a heap of other things. By the way - UV light has never been proven to be needed by Blueys. Other reptiles yes - blueys no. Just FYI

Lexi (the Bouvier) is doing great! She is such an awesome dog. I will have to get more pics of her and post them.

I think she looks alot like Moe in the face....such a sweet face!!! Can you believe how BIG she has gotten Zach? I cannot believe she is going to be 2 in July!!!!!!

Seems like JUST yesterday we were opening up that litttle UPS box and trying to find her tiny body amongst all the packing material!!! What a memory!! I still have all the pics from that!!! OH well, I am glad you got to see her pics and think that she is looking well!! She is moving into a neew custom made 55 gallon viv as soon as we get to NC. Tito is getting a DELUXE Apartment in the sky and his very own outside/inside condo as well. I figure after all he has been through, he deserves some luxury. I will post pics as soon as it is all contructed!! Take care guys!!!

Yes!! I just showed Holly the pictures and she's like: "Look at that little MOE DEE FACE!!" The coloring is really starting to look like Nona, but the stripes are still Moe Dee. Haha, she looks exactly half Nona, half Moe Dee, imagine that. :lol:

We LOVE her!! The name is so funny..... :lol:

That's great she's getting a new cage....perhaps another bluey for the "intro" cage....? :deal:
