Few questions I've come up with in the last week

Giggy is eating fine and only misbehaving a bit but I do have a few questions.

1. Seeing as she is young yet, how often should she shed?

2. Why is only a bit of her tongue blue? She is an Indo so shouldn't it be all blue?

3. I find that she is constantly watching my every move no matter if she is in the tank or on my lap...is this because she doesn't trust me still?

4. I know this is a BTS forum but mby someone can explain this..My Schneider male is trying to mate with my female every morning but she runs away and acts all weird, like she just did a few lines of coke, and keeps on the opposite side of the habitat...Is she just not ready? With in the next 2 months should be breeding time in the US correct? Could she already be pregnant?

I want them to have some babies but she won't let it happen!!

How much a bluey sheds depends on how much they grow, their age, and environment. How old is she? Blue tongues can loose color on their tongues as they age. Pregnant already? Who knows? How long have you had her, has she been properly cooled, is she wild caught? As to watching you ... my boy watches everything that moves in the house. Defense instinct I would guess. You have many questions ... we need more info.

P.S. I would feed in a lower dish to provide easier access for your girl.

Yea I got the rock food dish from healthy herp that holds the freeze dried veggies and that also seconds as a pillow it seems...Ill take some pics tomorrow to show everyone the new setup

I believe every 2-3 weeks is about the norm. more or less often depending on growth.

2. Why is only a bit of her tongue blue? She is an Indo so shouldn't it be all blue?
This happens sometimes in Indos, it's perfectly normal. Richard C even has a western with a blue tipped pink tongue.

BTS are exteremely curious, they like to watch what is going on around them. You must be very interesting to watch.

Ohh I know Giggy isn't gravid I was wondering about my Schneider Skinks. But she is anywhere under a year old and what do you mean by cooled?

Oh one more....Right behind her ear is a brownish scale that keeps coming back and she LOVES it when I rub it to the point of which it comes loose...is it a mite you think?

Likely it's a bit of shed that sticks. makes them itchy.
