I bought a rabbit pen for my blueys today it was on sale at petco for 49 dollars. it looks good very large. i will take a picture and post but is top soil ok for them to burrow through when they are in it? I wouldnt ever leave my guys unattended but i will put them out during the warm days when i am out that way they can get some sunshine.

Dirt should be fine, be sure to add some cover for them to hide out so they don't stress, and it's probably best not to try feeding them on the dirt. It is better than sand though. However once it packs down, they wont be doing much burrowing.

brigget - If you want good burrowing stuff - try grass clippings. I've put it in my outdoor enclosure and so far they LOVE it!!! The difference in their attitudes is unbelievable - I did expact a change but not so fast!

Ontop of that - I also put in somewhat hollow logs for them to hide under.

I just picked up aspen shavings and a hide and some greenery to hang from the top. I think it will look good and low cost.
