probable 2 shingle backs about to give birth

Postby Richard.C » Sun Mar 09, 2008 9:24 pm

well been up to check on the gravid blueys,no bubs yet, then into the herp shed to check on the stumpy, nothing yet there either, still heavy breathing, noticed that the other larger female was heavy breathing as well, the male has mated her the last 2 years but only the normal breeding female has produced,so looking really good that both females are going to produce any time now, will be the breeding females 5th straight litter if she produces, the bigger female ive had since a juvenile, this will be her first if she is to succesfully produce.

will keep my fingers crossed, ill get some pics soon, have to go back to work shortly

Good Luck, its a bit of a waiting game now. Do they feed less as the time gets closer? Also noticed the heavy breathing and grumpy behaviour.

hi occi,my female doesnt get grumpy, she has cut right back on her feeding though, which is a good sign shes not far off,the one that has never had babies is still chowing down so there is a chance she may not be gravid, though she is showing the breathing signs, time will tell, will get a pic soon, had flat batteries when i tried today
