id put them at least 16 or more years old now, they are long lived,my alpine blotched female im waiting for to have bubs for her 3rd straight year was aquired around the same time as those stumpys, she was huge then so would be a decent age as well, and she is alot bigger than all my other blotchys, except for 1 big lowlands female, maybe with my stumpys, the success im having has something to do with them being together so many years,i never used to cool them, they still mated but never had bubs so decided to cut all heating off for 6 to 8 weeks over winter, and yeah, every year bar the first year i hibernated them, babys have been the result,im waiting in anticipation to see if the big old dark male has gotten both the girls preggas this year

That is great! That is why I love Blueys, they live so long and will be with us for most of our lives!
So, your Stumpys are in an outdoor shed as well? Or are they more protected with airconditioning when it gets really hot? Sounds like they are just in a covered shed to keep the water out, right?

Hope both the girls are preggy as well! Can't wait to find out and, hopefully, see an armful of bubs!
So, it sounds like breeding alpines may be more difficult then stumpies, is it? Don't think I can imagine an Alpine bigger then an Asper! Wow, must be a REAL big girl!

bigger in length is the alpine, maybe bulkier to,lol, naah i think blotchies are easy to breed, especially outdoors, but also indoors, the stumps live in a large tin shed,no air con,it gets hot in there when its hot out side, but cold as in winter, still no bubs by the way,but the dark female stumpy is really heavily breathing, tommorrow is supposed to be 40 so see if that helps, the 2 blotchys look really close to,ill post pics of the bubs when they appear
