I mixed fancy feast chicken cat food with mixed vegi baby food the vegis are all organic potatoes green beans and zucchini. I gave it to him last night but he wouldn't go for it then today I did what petco told me they had been doing the were removing all of his furniture befor feeding him so I did and walked out of the room and when I came back he was sitting right over the bowl and there was some that was missing.

No worries mate, mind out for baby food it can have preservatives and added salt and stuff. Skinks can go months without food ,without dieing, if he's naughty and wont eat whats good for him, you can starve him for a week or more ,offer a good meal after this time and I reckon he'll change his mind,or alternatively feed him outta the cage, this will get him to see you as a freind and put being taken out by you, with food, double result.
MMMmmmmm... Something???????

thanks leigh I didn't think baby food would be bad cuz its for babies, but I'll check the container it id the organic brand stuff we have in the states, so I think it'll be good but better safe then a dead skink. And I never thought of feeding him out of the tank I was just leaving it in there while I was gone and he would come out of his hide spots when i'm gone, but he will not eat when I'm there will he if he doesn't get other chances except those?

Good baby food is okay, but if you use anything wet like that, clean his face/lips afterwards. Wet foods can lead to mouthrot if not cleaned up.

Yup, just look for any of my posts about Quinn to see what baby food can do to skinks.

I don't think mouthrot is the proper term.

This is mouthrot:

The scales were rotting away on Quinn, right there sounds like it matches. That picture would just be a severe case. Yuck. Thanks for that disturbing image :P
