how did the previous response seem odd to you? I thought it was pretty straight forward. I too wouldn't take my blueys on a trip but if I was able to there and back and i was moving - then I would.

Too much can happen. That just seems really weird excuse not to do something. Especially if he applies it to something and not everything else. To me that's like saying I won't go outside because I could get sunburn or something. The skink may have more chance than you for being stepped on or getting too cold, but then you have more chance than him at losing your ID or being shot.

Maybe it's just me, but saying you won't do something because something could go wrong is just weird.

Hmm ok - I just took the comment as takign your bluey on a short holiday is too much risk as anything could happen to it. You could leave it in the hotel room and the maid may freak out and anything could happen. Undue stress as stated.
