I went and got the camera .. and what do I see .. the batteries are out of juice!
But I did take some pretty good pictures with my phone. (my cell ha san camera)

I have one question .. HOW IN THE WORLD DO I GET THE PICTURES, THAT ARE ON MY CAMERA CELL, ONTO MY COPUTER??!

Anyways, he loves the egg. (Mostly the yellow part), he licked it all up. There was a bunch that he missed, so we went and got a spoon an fed him like an baby!!

It was really cute! I love his tongue. he showed us his WHOLE tongue!!!

He tryed a few times to crack the egg open, then one the 4th try he made an huge crack on the side of the egg. We had the egg in and big short bowl so there was no mess. :)

He did walk through it a few times and just layed in the clear parts. Yucky! After he ate I gave him an bath. Then for the rest of the day he slept on his slate.

That was his very first egg raw. He had a egg cooked before.

Oh! And the shell, I crushed it up in his salad. I feed him this a few hours later ... he didn't eat alot of this. (So the water dragon ate the rest. I made sure I only gave my WD the parts Hershal did not eat or touch)

And that is the story of his first raw whole egg. :ohyes:

Please do comment. :)

You'll have to get a lead to download the phone pics, but that sound like a success for raw egg anyhow.

What are your opinions on using plain limestone flour as a calcium supplement? I have a massive bag of it as I already use it for my tortoise.

yeah, Morgana's eggshell calcium is good. She still sells it on her website:

Just a note, this is basically the same as using a HIGH QUALITY calcium powder. Rep-cal is made from ground oyster shells.

A POOR QUALITY calcium will be made of bone meal, and riddled with nasty phosphorus.

I can never get it out of my head that oysters can contain lead.

Blueybabe -- you make a good point about some foods being out of season -- for this reason, it's always a good idea to have some powder handy for when you do need it. ;)

Well, a lot of sea life -- in the past there have been concerns about the shells containing lead, then when you grind them up for reptiles.....

If you are using supplemental calcium and vitamins, remember to replace the supplements every 6 months. Once they are exposed to air, they begin to oxidize (this cannot be avoided) and lose potency. Also, never mix vitamins and calcium together for long term storage- as the calcium will degrade the vitamins extremely quickly.

Feeding a well-thought out, nutritionally balanced diet reduces the need for additional supplementation.
