Hiya,
Just wondering, what is the average gestation of Northern blues? The caresheet says 3-6 months depending on species.
Thanks!

3 - 4, occaisonally longer. 3 - 6 is a long but possible time. Also - don't forget about sperm storage. If the female isn't up for popping out a few bubs - then she could store the sperm for later.

Thank you for the help. My female looks enormous, but I only have confirmation that they mated on the 1ft February, when they were with their old owners. Possibly they could have mated before that, but I dont know. Either way, Im not entirely sure how much time I will have to wait lol
I am reasonably confident that she is gravid based purely on her increase in girth over the couple of months I have had them, but I dont want to count my eggs/skinks before theyve hatched/been born

They were actually with their old owner still when they were brumated so I dont know the details exactly...all I have been told is that they were cooled from November to late January, and that mating was observed on the first of February. I think the old owner had them out in a reptile shed which had problems of some sort and had to bring them back indoors, so maybe thats why they came back out of brumation. It may explain why they were still a bit sluggish when I got them too.
