Lazy and Aggressive

Postby zakkhogan » Fri Apr 18, 2008 12:27 pm

Hey all,

Lynyrds been acting differently recently, he is active during the day (while im at work), so the wife tell's me, but when i get 5:30/6:00 (evening) he is alrady fully berried in the subtrate.

When i go into his viv to clean up poo, change water etc, he gets very aggressive.

He starts really breating heave and blowing air out of his nose like a bull ready to charge?

any have any ideas why?

When do you feed him? His schedule right now is be awake during the warmest part of the day, which for BTS is intelligent, as they spend less time outside to warm up. He's then going to sleep for you and you're waking him up. That makes him grumpy, which is understandable. Take him out, feed him, play with him at this later time. He'll get used to being awake then. Treats make it even better.

Have you been handling him regularly?? If not, he's prolly being a grump.

Plus mine goes back to sleep by ~6PM since he basks around 12. He usually doesn't stick around unless he's digesting food or I'm playing with him. And nobody likes being woken up from a nice snooze. ^^

Like fatal said, play with him some and give him yummies ;D

You might have a shed on the way, or maybe he's as narky as everyone else over here, with this crap weather, playing havoc with his after brumation theory of GOOD, warm, spring weather.
