Glass surfing still

Postby Suzle87 » Sun Jan 02, 2022 4:12 am

I am starting to get concerned with the amount of glass surfing venturers is doing, at first we put it down to him being male but he doesn't seem to have calmed down any and it's been going on months now, temp and humidity seem fine, I've added more hides, tried less hides and clutter but nothing I do changes it. He now has a couple of tiny little scabs under his chin from rubbing so much. Any ideas how to stop him? I covered the bottom of the glass with paper but this didn't stop him, I'm really at a loss as to what to do now.all help welcome please :(

It's just so worrying, he's rubbed his chin raw in places. I've just put some black paper up to see if that helps, he's a worry, starting to wish he was a girl

I’m having the same problem with one of mine lately and it’s getting so bad that he’s getting scabs all over his nose and chin.

Careful what you wish for....I've got a female doing it now too...and none of my males will go near her! They're scared to death of her! She just struts around waving that big ole tail up in the air!

Haha! My males aren't really in full swing yet, maybe in time hormones will take over for their fear. Odd though, usually it's the males that are ready first!

He's still doing it! At the end of my tether with it, nothing stops him. I'm getting paranoid he hates his house!

Mine are currently driving me insane. At all hours of the night, too. There really isn't anything you can do about it if all your conditions are correct.

Yes, it is perfectly normal. Just have to rid it out. Hang in there.
