I was given two bluetongue recently and im their third owner (I'm determined to have them and be their last owner) apparently the first owner raised them as vegan and hand feed them by giving food to their mouth so they never learnt to seek for food.....
poor things. the second owner had them for a couple of years and feed them snails etc but put in a lid which is good so they know to search for food. Then I got given them, I have no experience whatsoever so it has been a steep learning curve for me. I want them to have a good life and live well... They gave just wake up from brumation for about three weeks. I've also got rid of the heating rock and bought a heating lamp for them.
I found they love chicken and tomatoes. I saw many video that they will finish a jar lid sized meal however mine eats tiny amount..Like literally a few chicken pieces and a couple pumpkin in tiny pieces with one slice of banana...I'm so worried about them to a point I cannot sleep well in the night.
Is it normal for them to eat that tiny??
I also tried worms and to my surprise, they do not eat live worms as in fly lavea...What do I do with that? That's their natural diet and I want them to eat those...
I'd appreciate any advice please
