dragontears wrote:I've mostly used cocofiber (SoftBed from creaturetravelers.com) and have really liked the look, smell, etc. I recently switched to aspen for the first time as a trial...I developed a severe allergy to dust this year and every time I changed the substrate with cocofiber I couldn't breathe for several days afterwards. We'll see how aspen fares.
Something that might help when you do the aspen-because it is a little dusty too, is to lighty mist it with water, that helps keep the dust down for you and your pets. A little trick I figured out a few years ago with my snakes aspen bedding. Hope this works for you! Marine

There are actually comparative pictures of the two on the sheet you read...[/quote]
Sorry!
Ya, you are right. I, uh, was too busy looking at the pictures of the cute BT's poking their faces out that I didn't notice. Thanks!
Sorry!

Haha, no problem!
I can't remember if i mentioned, but I got a huge "bail" sized order from Creature Traveler the other day as a "free" sample. I couldn't believe it! I really love the stuff (softchips). It's basically the same as the T-rex coconut husk at petsmart, isn't it DT?

For those who may not know, never use pine pellets for birds. Even to line the bottom of a cage.
Pine and cedar are both toxic to all animals and birds.
Agreed, agreed agreed.

Goodbye, BTS.net -- We've had to good times. I do hope someone else will come along and make it the lovely community it once was.

Had to remove the remote addy option because I couldn't control the size! People kept uploading enormous avatars on accident...
