Ive got a kiwi freind , who backs on to jerungup or jeramungup national park , and she tells me Oh my dong mangled a few blue tongue,s today ..What should i do mate ?? I have them tied around her kneck for being a bad girl,,, Now she kills more has a nose for them .I said Vonne put a muzzle on the B...tard or tie it up ...real no brainer ..Oh she got a python now ...Oh she got some babies ..Dam

Killling me hangs the boddies around the dogs kneck ..it shakes them like rag dolls ... SNARL ...not all people are that careless .

Id much rather live in a world of animals than people...i mean there are some people that have an equal interest in animals as me but there are very few

So yeah heaps of people are afraid of animals because they dont usally have contact with them and with all these rules with schools and animals, its getting worse. But sometimes its not compleatly te persons fault, for example my Nan dosnt like animals but thats only because when she was a child her mother told her to never touch animals because they had germs. She even says to me now that she knows its stupid but she just cant bring herself to hold a mouse, Pet a dog with her hands(foot is ok) or hold my blue tongue

I like animals so much more than I like people. Most people are so bloody stupid. I was a party person in my teens and twenties and now I hate places where I have to meet people because I hate having to put that permanent smile on my face and nod my head in that "oh yes" way.

OH is terrified of taking me out because sometimes I just have to get the claws out in my own surreptitious way. I have the most fun with the one's that B52's straight over their heads. It's not mean, it's a way of staying sane in an insane environment.

That, and what we say we love most about animals tends to be what we project onto them (*human* emotions and mannerisms). Whatever happened to loving animals just for being animals, and not for how much they may seem like us?

I prefer animals because even the most (in a human sense) vile things they do are for a reason. A male lion doesn't kill the cubs just for his own pleasure he kills them to bring the females into estrus thereby allowing his genes to propagate as well as bonding the females to him. Animals don't kill for no reason, I have never been attacked by an animal where I didn't say geez Serenity that was dumb of you, you know better, you knew you would be attacked if you did that. there is ALWAYS a reason.

Humans on the otherhand will kill, maim, brutalize, and subjugate for no understandable reason, I know people who will run down harmless garter snakes with their lawn mowers because they like to watch the bits fly, my cousin threw a frog against a rock wall to watch it splat, a kid i knew when i was growing up dumped a kitten in a gas can and lit it up,you would never see an animal do those types of things. how many times have we watched an atrocity on T.V. and said why did this happen? what was the point? Way too many times is my opinion.

I'm gonna double post here because i relized i made it sound like humans were not animals which is not true IMO People have instinctual natures and if we did not develop Rules and religion and people believing that they should suppress natural human behaviors I truly believe we would all be happier survival of the fittest and all that eventually there would be no more murderers and tyrants because the rest of humanity wouldn't tolerate it.
(No I'm not saying that we should all start acting like animals too much has changed people couldn't go back to living that way)

I agree with your sentiments but not your reply. I was not anthropomorphising. On the contrary - animals are never trying to be something they are not, they don't pretend or lie, they just be.

They are the closest to God I will ever get. They don't care what you look like and love and protect through instinct.

People created the wrongs that we perceive they have - ie: cats eating blue tongues.

The human race is all about killing (which is generally for no reason), sex (not for reproduction) and we die too - but we do it all under a veil of projecting oursevles as not who we are. Thats why they have the sixth sense, because they are not concentrating on all the wrong stuff.

Many of the people on this forum are teachers or have opportunities to influence kids---either their own/others. Take every opportunity you have to educate and inform these kiddos. Most children are still very impressionable and willing to give reptiles a try. Use opportunities to explain food chains and how important reptiles really are. It is a shame that many schools are too concerned about possible lawsuits to allow "hands on" education to occur! (The one and only thing that excited my son about school was his BTS project and the teacher would not allow our pet to visit!)
Let cat owners know the average lifespan of an outdoor cat is 2 years old. Again, let kids know about the diseases, accidents (dogs, cars), or torture (poisonings, mutilations, etc.) that many outdoor cats succumb to. Maybe these kids can influence their parents too. (Dealing with the death of a child's pet is hard enough without feeling guilty!)
I have even supplied our allergist with info. about blueys so that other pet-seeking asthmatics will make a good low-allergy choice. He tells me that reptiles are a "hard sell" with parents. Ignorance/stereotypes are quite powerful influences....

Most people that have dogs have no idea how to properly train them or care for them. Which is why I can't stand most dogs, and risking offending a visit to someone's house, if I see or hear evidence of dogs, I stay outside.
