I worried about anything from the dead geckos being around and just unsanitary in general, but the chems i would be worried about would just whatever cleaner I used. So if I used the reptile relief to kill any mites that might have been in the tank, all after i vacuumed and wiped it down it should be alright?
Oh, funny, but a little gross story from earlier. I toying with the wooden lamp housing and taking some of it off to leave just a piece of wood for a lamp to clamp onto, and was prying a nail out. My hand slipped and slammed down palm up on another piece of wood on the ground- nails up of course. A nail stuck into my middle finger in the middle section, so i reacted and pulled my hand back, and the board that was on the floor came with my hand! So i frantically shake my hand around for a second with the board and nail shaking around with it, then I just grabbed onto the wood and pull it and the nail out of my finger. Scared me more than anything, it's a little sore, but didn't hurt that bad. I poked around in the hole with a tooth pick to see how deep it was, which I expected to be torture, but the area seemed to still be in shock, cause i could press the toothpick down to the bone without any additional pain. I sumerged my finger in some alcohol and opened up the hole while it was submerged to let it get in and disenfect. All my shots are up to date luckily, so I should be alright. Patched it up with some super glue before work, and it seems to be alright, lol.
Bought the wooden enclosure, need help!!!!

Thats what I was thinking too (taking the back off and just making everything 6-12 inches deeper. Just depends on how frankensteinish it would end up looking.

If you can find a similar wood and/or grain and carefully match it up with the existing viv... stain it closely, as well... and cover the joined areas with a nice wood trim or similar...
