I always heard pickin' off the ticks with some fine tweezers at the mouthparts and pulling was the best way...

...now I know why.

I'd heard the opposite, use a hot pin method, when they release , pull them off, surely compressing them between tweezers is more likely to cause them to barff, wouldnt it? If you tug at them I thought the jaws snap off in the skin and get infected, how about the sugar method , feed them loads and thier teeth rot and fall out haaa haaaa
MMMmmmmm... Something???????

Ticks are truly disgusting creatures! Eeeeew, thank you for the info tho! Thank Gods, I don't have a tick issue at all, and I hope I never ever do!
My main issue is worm, Hookworms specifically.
I read on another forum that crickets were gutloaded with pinworms, and these crickets were from two different suppliers. I found that to be scary, so I was wondering if it would be Kosher to name those suppliers? I don't feed crickets to my Bluey, but I do have a white lined Gecko that eats 'em. So if I could get info on the safe supplier, that'd be awesome, thanks!
P.S. where can I get silkworms fast? My petstore ordered them like 3 weeks ago and they still haven't shipped! Any suppllier suggestions?
Thanks!
Saille

All I know is the experienced vets and other animal-types that I've come across suggest grabbing them at the mouth parts closest to the skin they've buried themselves into, clamping down, and pulling.
