Thanks for the compliments.

Lura-I think she was just trying to sell them locally.

Dragontears-I would have to measure it, but it is just a 20gal long aquarium. Please dont tell me that that is too small! lol. I was reading that is the size for 1 adult crested.

Looks great Brad - that size will work for a single Crested. I know I still need to respond to your pm - I haven't forgotten! LOL. My Willow say's you've made a fine choice on your next species purchase ;)

Lura, I am just selling locally and contacted some local members to see if they were interested in buying some of my herps.

Willows beautiful! I just figured you have been really busy, no rush on the pm. Thanks for the compliments on the cage. I will be adding more limbs and probably more greenier up top that has more "color" in it.

we dont get too many wild skinks and geckos anymore, theyre mainly captive now, but here is an otago skink

Image

but here are some real lookers hat we have seen a few of, oh and a news update, a gecko that had only ever been seen 3 times ever in new zealand, the coromandal stiped has been found a fourth time and has been caught for hopeful breeding and research...its the worlds rarest gecko and new zealands rarest too
Image

and also here is a picture of a common green, not so common though
Image..

for those who like geckos click on this link because its an article from a nature website on its find...

So....since this is the off topic thread, I have something really off topic to post. :)

I rescued a dog last week....she was brought into the clinic i work at, had been hit by a car and had a serious head injury. She was basically comatose for 2 days, noone was taking financial responsibility for her so i'm not sure what it was about her that made us keep trying....but she slowly started coming around and although she doesn't see very well, bumps into things on occasion, and sticks her tongue out....she's perfect! I'm not a big chihuahua fan, but there was something about her that really tugged at my heart. I had been sort of looking for a sister for Titus anyway and she seemed like the perfect choice. They get along amazingly well. She, however, is starting to become more Chihuahua-like since she's feeling better. She embarrassed me at PetsMart yesterday, barking and growling at other dogs while I was holding her. :rolls: Well, I guess I can't have 2 perfectly obedient dogs, can I?

Here she is...."Barley" I just had to use the name again.....I loved that little bluey so much! And since this is a special little dog, I thought she deserved a special name!

And, a couple of Titus for good measure :)

She's getting better. The retinas in her eyes are starting to show some signs of repair and she's seeing a little better, she still bumps into things sometimes but not as much as she was. She was spinning in circles to the right when I brought her home and that is a lot better too. She's turning into a little butt-head, she's cracks me up. She thinks it's funny to chase the cats.

She needs to be spayed...she has an umbilical hernia that will have to be fixed but luckily it's already walled-off and not causing any problems.

I also found out yesterday that she is positive for heartworms...I cried, I was so upset. She'll have to be treated for heartworms and then she'll be fixed when she's recovered from that. My boss wants to give her a few more weeks before we put her through any of that. It makes me so mad....she had hookworms and roundworms, heartworms and was left to roam the streets and almost died getting hit...people make me so mad!!

But...I love her. and i'm glad I have her now.

Jacki, congrats on the new one! She sure is little! lol I do have to admit though, Titus still has my vote ;) He is just beautiful. The vet that the crop did a great job! Nothing looks worse than a horrible ear cropping.

Anyways back to Barley. Congrats on the getting her and glad to hear she is doing much better! HBC's are just horrible.

Barley is one lucky girl! About how old do you think she is?

Bless you for caring enough to open your home to that little cutie!

Thanks Reptileking...Titus is my absolute pride and joy. :) My boss cropped his ears...he does a decent job, i was pleased. Not sure i'd do it again, but Ti didn't have ANY problems.

Our original thoughts were that she was about 8 to 10 months old, her teeth are still VERY white and her gums are in great shape. however, she was a "strong" positive for heartworms so now we're thinking she's more like a year old, maybe a little older. It takes 6 months from the time a dog is bitten by a heartworm infected mosquito for it to actually show up positive on an occult test.....so, for her to already be a strong positive we're thinking she'd have to be at least a year old.

She's not showing any symptoms of heartworms though, so I just hope and pray that she comes through with flying colors. She's already proven to be a miracle with how well she's come out of being hit by a car. She's only 6.5 pounds...she's seriously got some angels looking over her!

I don't know what it is, but I fell in love with her the moment she came in. I'm so glad she's doing so well! I just love her. :)

Brad, are you getting a baby or adult crested? Your cage is perfect for a juvie/adult, but for a baby it would be too big to start out with. You are going to love a crested - they are so cute!
