Yes they do stink!
Well my shingleback cage smells way more than my blue tongue cage thats for sure. If i see poo i clean it up but it still smells in there, maybe they just fart often, lol.
I do air it out all the time though so that helps but when im not home i make sure its all closed up secure.

So do Stumpies smell like they look? Poo-ey?

Or is it just like a musky smell like some snakes have?

Not in my experience. The only thing is, if Santos does a poo and walks through it, he's harder to clean because he's bumpier than a normal bluetounge.

None of mine really poo much in their tanks but because they spend so much time outside.
Ralphie's poo smells the most (and is the biggest), then Jubby's, then Santos. But Santos does smellier wee-wees.
I've been told I have an obsession with poo. Not sure why

Overall, Jubby has the most scent. He has musky days sometimes. Ralphie has never had it, and Santos gets it occasionally as well. I wonder if their sex is a factor in how much they and their poo smells? Santos is my only definate male.

Even if Santos did smell like he looked, I'd still love him!

I love Santos too, whether he ever smells poo-ey or not! He's just so darned adorable! (But I like pretty much all Stumpies, stinky or no.)
I wonder if it depends on what you feed them/what they eat? Kinda like how for humans, asparagus makes pee smell really funk. :hurl:

Egg is pretty high up on the stank ladder when fed to blueys! Highest rung probably! Banana can be too if they're really ripe. Yes, I imagine diet would play a factor in their poo stank (I love talking poo!), but as for their natural body odour, well maybe they just need to try a new deodorant! I don't mind a bit of naturalness in them. Boys shouldn't smell like girls :hehe:
