When i had critters that ate crickets i would usually just toss in scraps of what was left over at dinner.I used to keep them in a critter keeper with very wet paper towels. They ate pretty much anything and grew pretty plump.

The only things I know about Millipedes are, they are vegetarian/eat dead wood and organic matter, and they feel like a hairbrush when they walk across your hand! (doesn't hurt, feels nice!)
I think they're very cute, and apparently some people have them co-existing peacefully and happily with their Crested Geckos in live-plant terrariums. I guess the millipedes eat the gecko poop and enrich the soil, it creates a nice little eco-system! I think they need relatively high humidity though.
Yay, Milliepedes! :D

im just sooooo frustrated with Boris, my Ij..
he doesnt seem interested in eating.
you always have to nudge the food before he eats and he only licks, seldom chomps.
and once you stop nudging him he will stop..

this makes me really sad because ive put in sooo much efforts in feeding him.. sometimes i just wana give up.

Drew, friend, it's normal!! They are cyclical eaters! They go days, weeks, months in the wild without food. Just because some are big fat lazy pigs and eat everyday doesn't mean they all are. And frankly, I'd say the majority of us on here probably feed ours too much, and too often.

Many of us on here have been keepers for less than five years, and only own one or two blueys. Just because they all look 'healthy' now, we've got to wait another 20-30 years to know if what we are doing is good for them.

He's not people! He doesn't need to eat as much as we do, and as often. If he is healthy in all other aspects, ie not losing weight or condition, then you've probably got a very sensible skink who knows more about what's good for him than you do.

Please, don't take that personally!! Just don't get too carried away with other comments on here about skinks that eat like champs each and every meal.

Don't obssess or stress, he might even be picking up on it and may even start to associate it as a bad thing if you're always trying to get him to eat.

Relax, Drew. They aren't all the same.
And I'll let you in on a little secret. My Santos also won't eat if I leave food for him, he will only eat if I hand feed or if I stick his head in the plate. And yes, he too is a licker not a chewer and the minute I'm not there to keep his nose in the plate he'll walk away. So what! He's going to take a lot longer to reach full size than my other ones, but hey, he's got plenty of years to get there!

Please don't take any of this as an attack! I am trying to reassure you! If Boris is, in all other aspects, healthy, then you need to accept that he's a light eater.
