I'll never forget the first and only time Slurpy hissed; I had began to think he wasn't capable....he was in our room on the floor and squeezed into a big paper towel tube somehow, when we went to get him out, we heard these long hisses. I laughed hysterically because he just doesn't hiss! Hasn't since, and that was like 2 years ago...

LittleFoot has moved up to small mice....He chows them down quick...of course when he yawned the mouse head was resting on the bottom of his mouth and I could see the rest of the body down his throat. Was the first time I got a little queasy watching a reptile eat.

Drew, I still think your skinks foods look good enough to eat.

menu DUW

Postby Drew » Thu Oct 25, 2007 10:32 am

one of the menus the other week.
consists of:
Image

next is you put silkies in marinating plastic.
Image

and then dash marinating powder inside plastic and shake it like a champ!
until silkies are covered with marinating powder.. :D
Image

after that, set it aside and prepare other ingredients:
Image

bananas
carrots
mustard and bockhoy
cat food turkey flavored
chicken, heart and liver all boiled
papaya and tomatoe

1. blend papaya, tomato, mustard leaves, bokchoy, and carrots until paste in consistency prepare in small plate
2. boil chicken, liver and heart, set aside
3. mash bananas, set aside

after steps 1-3, arrange food item according to color and consistency for aesthetic purposes, remember what is appealing to a KING. Mashed bananas on one side, the "paste" on the other and meat on the opposite side. Now get a few silkies and sprinkle on top. You may add more silkies if you want. Serve at room temperature.

Image
Image

the other way of preparing this dish is just to chop everything into finely pieces, mix and sprinkle silkies on top.

Serve again while at room temperature. thanks for looking guys. :ohyes: :) 8)

Clearly any King should be happy with those platters of food! Hey Drew ... how much of that bounty do you have to throw out after each meal? Those look like Godzilla sized portions!

Yeah. Um, Drew, when you say yours don't eat alot, you're not expecting that they would eat all that every day, do you? Because they really only eat (or should only eat) the equivalent of a tablespoon or two if you're feeding on a daily basis. A meal that size I would definately feed only once a week
