They look a little meaner, don't you think? They don't have that twinkle in their eye. There's a guy selling some (I think Richard's made an enquiry) but Goldfield locale shingles simply wouldn't stand up to an east coast summer (too humid this side of the divide).

That being said, I wouldn't go so far as to say shingles are ugly, but they're certainly weird looking. And weird to hold! They're all bumpy and built like tanks, really solid, there's no flexibility in them!

But their tail's are divine, sometimes I get a look in my eye and Conor just knows I'm considering taking a huge bite out of Santos's. It just looks so meaty!! :hyper: :hehe:

Hey, when I joined the forum I too thought shingles were the funniest looking critters. They were originally my least favorite. Over the years though I've seen so many pictures and heard so many stories, and I admit, I've fallen for them. I never thought they were ugly, just too bumpy, not sleek and lizard like. Now, they'd be close to my top choice. I love the brown or black ones, but the ones with color make a close call. I'm really hoping to buy a few while I'm still young enough that all my money doesn't go to bills. Just give me a few years...

Yeah i wasn't too keen on them either till a man came to my house with one in his shirt. Now i got mine and i love them, my Spike has such a sweet nature and he just looks so placid and dopey with those sleepy eyes.
