Together or separate?

Those of you with more than one skink: Do you feed them as a pack, or individually? I had been feeding them together, but I noticed that Ty is not shy and will hog the food dish. Tuck seems to lose his appetite as soon as Ty comes near the plate- but Tuck isn't afraid of Ty though.. I've seen him try to bite him (another reason I feed them individually now).

All my lizards are kept separate. It's just the safer thing to do.

All my guys are fed seperately. I have platforms in their cages so the plates aren't put on the aspen.

I only have 3 and they all have thier own cages. As soon as i can find a home for my uros sassy will move up a cage size.

I don't mean housing them together.. I would never do that. I mean feeding them together outside of the cage. I don't usually feed in the cages because it gives me a chance to watch them eat and have them outside of their cages.

If you are worried about one eating more then the other, I would feed them seperetly.

I feed separate, outside the cage. a) because they all have different food preferences, and b) because if I fed them altogether then Ralph would just eat it all!

I do it, if one eats more than the other, well, let's just say he eats most of it and the other isn't finished, I put more food out. In the summer, we have a big watering hole where they all drink and a big plate of food where they walk around the yard and eat and go as they please...

If someone doesn't finish all their food, I do give the dish to another piggy skink to finish depending on their chunkiness. Baylee can get a bit chunky by the end of the summer so he stops getting seconds.

Me too! In winter, I'll only use 2-4 plates of food for all ten blueys. When one's finished, or doesn't finish, we just pass it along to the next bluey and replenish the plates as needed. Saves having 10 plates to clean, half with uneaten portions.

We get all the food used doing it this way.
