BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I was picking up some new items for sophie to try. I also picked up some tomatoes for myself. Are those ok to feed her? (could not find answer in the care sheet)

It talks about tomatoes on one of the food charts. They are a sometimes food.

i tried tomatoes with izzy and he ate them but they went straight through him if you know what i mean. it was a tomatoey mess from his hind quarters just a forwarning

i think i will just try Green beans and Butternut Squash then....

My guys have had tomatoes and I've never had a problem.

Yep, I feed tomatoes no problem, too. Not sure if it's still there, but Zach had a video on the main part of the site of his eating a cherry or tom-thumb tomato.

Do what I do, each week buy a 'mystery' vegetable and give it a try. Even though some veggies are a no-no on a regular basis, if they're given only occasionally then I think it's ok. It's a good way to try them on new things, and you get a greater appreciation of the vast array of veggies out there. With some of them, it's lucky they have names on them because I've got absolutely no idea what they are otherwise! It's ok though, because the only veggies I eat are potato and cucumbers

When looking for veggies i realized something. Sophie eating habbits are healthier then mine. LOL Maybe i should try some of her stuff out. But not her worms

tomatoes are fine,i remember a wild eastern that lived under our bungalow use to eat and tomato it could reach in the vege patch where it use to pop out,if u fed straight tomato then u may get watery stools but no probs as part of a varied diet,great for moisture with desert dwelling blueys and shingles to,my stumpys are quite partial

baby tomatoes are fun too...

My lizards definetly eat way better then I do!!! In fact my whole veggie garden was planted for them not me!

I tried the veggie garden and the BLOODY catapillers ate better than everyone

Maybe for optimum health we should all eat the bloody catapillers?

I didn't have a problem with the caterpillars but the squirels did get the couple of squash that I managed to grow.

mine loves green beans and butternut squash.

LittleFoot tried both, didn't really care for it, he loves acorn squash though, go figure. He also loved little grape tomatoes.

Green beans and butternut squash are something im going to use since she seems to like them. hehe now i just need to look at the caresheet and find some more things ^_^.
