Hmm, that is a good question. I would be a little leary because it is pine. Although it isnt as bad as Cedar, i thought i remember reading that pine isnt that good for reptiles either. On the other hand, I do know that pine is not good for cats, so either this product doesnt actually contain pine (which would be odd since its name) or they did something to the product so it isnt toxic to cats.
I have every thought about trying a litter called Yesterday's News? It is just recycled newspaper rolled up into the shape of Feline Pine. It would be a save alternative and still give you the same look as feline pine, if that is the reason you use it.

When did you get the spiders, Brad?
So Brad, when did you get the spiders?
Did dragontears talk you into it? Her off-topic pix have just about convinced me too! Our exotic store has the ugly tarantulas for less than a dollar!

It is very absorbent and I love it for the cats, but pine is pretty aromatic, so I would skip it for herps. I agree with Brad about trying Yesterday's News -- hadn't thought about it, but it's a good idea.

I've used Yesterday's News for some of the shelter cats, and it's the most disgusting, foul-smelling stuff ever. I'd recommend using Care Fresh if you're looking for an alternative bedding.
The Humane Society took Michael Vick's pit bulls, asked for public money to help them, then decided it would be best to kill them... adopt from No Kill shelters http://www.roas.petfinder.com

The Carefresh smell scared me at first because I put it in during the heat test and I thought something was burning. Now I've gotten used to the smell, and I like it. Pryce and Trikks love to burrow in it, Wocket stays above most of the time. Pryce is looking out at me right now, only his head showing.

i just tried the carefresh bedding couple days ago.. i used to have repti bark which i used 30 liters of to filll my 50 gal.. so i got like 30 liters of carefresh... well i filled up half my tank haha.. and removed a lot of it and still have bedding thats like 3 inches deep. Its a lot cheaper though and now as your skink is a lot larger they can burrow again.
