Has anyone tried it on blueys? Particularly the Evo line:

Thoughts?

Some of those ingredients gave me the urgghh factor, looks good in nutritional values for the cats mate, I reckon if not too expensive it would make a great food source.
MMMmmmmm... Something???????

This sentence sounds so odd to me: "To bridge the gap between what was once the ideal diet in the wild, and what science defines as an optimal nutritional profile."

Seems like nice food I guess; I usually feed my skinks Spots Stew dog variety, they actually like that a lot better than cat. I tried the cat version and Blue gave me a look like he thought I was trying to poison him!

Doesn't sound too bad...I like that there's so much meat in it...

The spot's stew is nice, but it doesn't have a lot of protein in it for babies and juvie skinks. I was thinking this would be good for younger skinks. I'm going to try it on my guys and see what they think. (obviously I'll have to mix in greens) If they like it, I think I'll keep it around as a main protein source for them as I don't have real meat around much I rely on canned food for the most part.

Do you want to try it too, Zach?

I have heard great things about EVO for dogs and cats. It is one of the highest quality manufactured foods out there for dogs/cats. I posted a while ago about Wellness pet foods coming out with a similar canned food. This particular one is like 95% meat. I personally think these would be a much better choice than regular canned foods for blueys.

That's exactly my reasoning as well...

Yeah, definitely, where are you getting it? How much is it per can? Can't be more than the S.S!

Hey Renee, if you're getting it cheap/free, let me know. I'd like to try some for Sebastian. I'm concerned about his protein intake and it'd be nice to have another option.

I tried the new food on my guys tonight. For the most part, it was a hit.

Styx was the first "guinea pig"
This doesn't smell like my food:
Image

why don't you just take me out to play instead?
Image

Next came Sprout:
The food dish is here...
Image

It's on my plate, therefore it is food:
Image

maybe another taste:
Image

Hey, this isn't bad:
Image

back off...it's mine now!
Image

check out those kei eyes! :nervous:
Image

can YOUR skink open his mouth this wide?!
Image

Sprout was the first one done (big surprise)
Image

...so he started eating his plate! I love this picture!
Image

Next we had Kei Kei...who seemed a bit confused:
smells good:
Image

Drats! I can't get to it!
Image

ahhh, here we go:
Image

Image

She didn't seem too thrilled with my picture taking while she was stuffing her face, so I left her alone.

Nona was next:
*sniff sniff*
Image

doesn't smell too bad...I wonder how it tastes:
Image

It'll do:
Image

Lastly we had Mamma.

Can't a woman inspect her food with a little privacy?
Image

going for the taste...
Image

...and missed
Image

try again...
Image

...and success!
Image

Image

Image

primly cleaning herself off before her next mouthful:
Image

OK, I'm done with you...let me concentrate on my food!

Sounds like a deal. I got your message but I was sleeping (sorry, haven't been doing that much). Although, I'll be in town tomorrow evening I think. Will you be around?

Styx never tried it. I left his cage door open and he just sat there with his head resting on the ledge like that for about 15 minutes. Finally I tried to spoon feed him and he wiped the catfood off his mouth and went back to resting on the ledge. I pet him for a little while and called him a crazy lizard and ended up shutting the door to see if he would try it on his own. No dice. I'm not sure if he didn't like the smell, or if he just wasn't hungry. :noknow:
