If this is your first bluey, I would recommend a northern, eastern or Irian Jaya. These types are know for being good blueys to start with because they are calmer and more laid back. Indo's are know for being more skittish and not good first skinks.

I echo Jenn's choices. Check out the breeders on this site. If you get one from another place, stick with Northerns or Easterns as these are less likely to be wild caught. They are also easier to identify as their forelegs won't have markings.

If you buy from a pet store, the chances of them having easterns or notherns is slim. You'll most likely find wild caught indos.

I have easterns, very calm and great temperament! And very laid back..

Go for either Northern, Eastern or Irian Jaya if its a first bluey pet ;)

I'd take a look at the sales page on this site. Zach still has a few northern babies left that are both beautiful and friendly. You're more likely to end up with a pet that you can interact with if you purchase a species that is known to be more docile. Here's a photo of my northern that I got from Zach this year. I don't handle him all that often and he is still easy to catch and play with.....

And here he is the day that I brought him home
