Mate that looks like the same skink to me, check out the little pattern on the front legs, and the tail seems to have the same irregularities, if its not the same guy it would be a twin.
Wait and see what the others think before you rare up on that vendor

If anything he's got worse, it looks like he's lost a right front toe nail as well, or is it the photo?

I don't think he looks in THAT bad a shape....but it does look like the same animal from above....
It's not an Eastern, but it does look like an Eastern mix. Many IJ's do though and it's difficult to distinguish which are wild, and which have actually been bred with easterns in previous years...
Once again supporting that IJ's are long term hybrids of Indo's and Easterns!

it is totally the exact same animal.
i agree that it doesn't look THAT bad - it just doesn't look like a happy skink.
remember on happy feet when he got caught and ended up drooling on himself in the tank? - - looks like that.
there's a pet pet store chain here in town that has one like that. it just sits there with a mindless stare. it's unnerving, really.
honestly, not a very good looking fella... half-bleached and knotted up.
why not just buy a baby from one of the breeders here if you want another one? is it a bleeding heart thing? like, you feel like you have to save it?

Boonaen, I think Drew's main problem is location. Look where he lives. Not exactly easy to get skinks from the USA to there.
Drew, while I'll agree he doesn't look that happy, I like his coloring. Even with his bumps, he's got a pretty look. Maybe I'm just strange. If you do trade though, point out the bumps and such, and I wouldn't trade more than the BP. It's the same one, so the guy's obviously having trouble selling it, if you want it, use that to your advantage. Just give him a good vet check if you get him.

Missing toe, lumpy tail, flipped like a burger ... would you have the happy face? I bet the little beggar will be happy living with Drew!

thanks for the replies guys, i told the seller that i dont want the animal because ive seen it in person and it really doesnt look happy, its been fedding on half cook chicken and beef most of the time, occasional cat food and dog food, his eyes in person looks really droopy and kinda walks funny.
i know i can take him and give him a really happy life but if i do that i have to adopt more herps out of pity or that soft heart of mine, you guys get what i mean?
il hold up with this guy..
the search goes on.
thanks guys.
