Breeder's Choice and Dr Harry's (also sold under Coles name brand at their supermarket) are both good, but I find the Harry's better than Breeder's Choice. They seem to burrow in it better. If you look on this site and see a product called 'Carefresh' (which you can't get here), it's the same as Harry's, only Harry's is unbleached.

Petshops like Petbarn are just starting to get some of the o'seas products like 'Aspen' in, which alot of the Yanks use. It's just (unscented) wood shavings.

You can also try astro turf, but make sure you keep an area of stuff they can burrow in, or dry leaf mulch (but that is very noisy indoors!).

I have about a third astro turf (I keep the water and food bowls over that end), and the rest is a good few inches of Dr Harry's.
