how big is your tank? Unless you have a huge set-up I think having a built-in pond...no matter if it is 10% or 50%...would increase the humidity too much. Pyrex baking dishes work wonders...they are large enough to soak in and heavy enough to not get flipped over. I use the 9x9 pans in my tanks.

Don't tell your mom but shallow casserole dishes work great!!! Don't do semi aquatic as these are a pain to clean and your bluey will wreck a set up like that! Get something easy to clean! Better yet, if there is not a casserole that will work in the cabinet, go buy a shallow blue casserole to match Homer's tongue.

Yummo! Wing me one of them brownies thanks, Leigh!

Mike, you don't need to have a water dish big enough for them to soak in. They sure don't soak in the wild! A water bowl for drinking is all you need for australian species.

Lisa, are you sure they don't "soak" (I'm sure there's a better word) in the wild? ;) I have heard many accounts of them being seen using watering holes very often.

Also, these are big animals that I think need a big water source, and it also helps keep your humidity in check. A tiny saucer won't.

I need to start using 'habadashery' in everyday conversation. I'm going to make it my goal to say it tomorrow with my friends in a conversation ^.^ I love this forum. I mean Deadeye alone could give me a whole new vocabulary, nevermind Leigh and others.

Walmart is a load of cow-plop. Anyone seen the Walmart movie? It's called Walmart-The high cost of low prices. Made me want to burn things. Thankfully it's not considered so bad here in Canada, but I still avoid it. Poo on them.

Oh, and between Cadets and this forum, I don't think I even remember my colorful adjectives...

Fatal ... if you are going to use habadashery in every conversation I think it's only fair if you work in Iron Monger too! That one kills me!
